Korean Craftsmanship: 2026 KGM Actyon Specs, Features, and Price Details
The Korean manufacturer "KGM" (formerly SsangYong) has revived one of its most iconic historic nameplates with the launch of the completely redesigned KGM Actyon 2026.
This vehicle embodies the profound design and technological leap achieved under the investment umbrella of the "KG Group."
By adopting a premium Coupe-SUV silhouette, the Actyon is strategically positioned to bridge the gap between the Torres and Rexton models, delivering a unique formula that blends an aggressive road presence with advanced digital luxury to ignite fierce competition in the mid-size premium SUV segment.
Mechanical Performance and Powertrain
The KGM Actyon relies on a highly efficient, time-tested powertrain, featuring a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline direct-injection (GDI) engine.
This powerplant generates a responsive 170 horsepower and a robust maximum torque of 280 Nm. The engine is mated to a sophisticated 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Japan's "Aisin," ensuring swift shifts and smooth power delivery.
The vehicle is offered in two drivetrain layouts: standard Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) for urban efficiency, and an intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system on higher trims engineered to tackle challenging terrains.
Exterior Design Language and Athletic Stance
The Actyon boasts a revolutionary exterior design that blends the fluid, sweeping lines of a coupe with the muscular durability of an off-roader.
The front fascia showcases a futuristic identity with a continuous horizontal LED light bar running across the hood line, complemented by a low-slung grille and an aggressive bumper.
From the side, the roofline slopes dynamically toward the rear to emphasize its sporty coupe character, riding on striking 20-inch alloy wheels with an intricate geometric design. At the rear, interconnected LED taillights mimic the front light signature, above a smart power tailgate that opens up to a generous luggage capacity.
Digital Luxury and Interior Comforts
Inside the cabin, the Actyon introduces a highly premium experience focused on total digitization and soft-touch materials.
The dashboard is dominated by a sweeping dual-screen panoramic display, seamlessly integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The interior is upholstered in premium, stain-resistant leather and quilted suede (available in elegant colorways including black, beige, and dual-tone options), featuring power-adjustable seats with heating and ventilation.
Occupants are also treated to a 32-color ambient lighting system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a sporty flat-bottomed leather steering wheel.
Comprehensive Safety Shield and Driver Assistance
KGM prioritizes occupant protection, constructing the Actyon on a rigid chassis composed of ultra-high-strength steel.
The vehicle is backed by a comprehensive safety suite containing 8 airbags, along with standard electronic stability and braking aids (ABS, EBD, ESP).
Furthermore, it features a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system that simplifies parking and low-speed maneuvering.
In conclusion, the new KGM Actyon represents a qualitative leap that confirms the Korean automaker's ability to innovate vehicles blending sporty passion with family practicality.
The masterfully crafted combination of a futuristic exterior profile, mechanical reliability driven by a turbocharged engine and a Japanese transmission, and a luxurious digital cockpit grants the Actyon a tremendous competitive edge, making it an incredibly compelling choice for buyers seeking a distinct Coupe-SUV personality loaded with advanced technology.
